Nian Society
The Nian society was highly influenced by the ancient Wolflord Nations, whom left the entire region to these descendants of Vikings. In truth, there's little Viking influence left in their social hierarchy, with the small exception of their Lords being called Jarls(and in some clans, there isn't even that). The Council of Kings is very much like the council of Lord Princes who ruled over the Wolflord Nations, except those wolflord councils had an acting King at times.
Council of Kings: The ruling officials of the whole country. Both Southern and Northern Niana have their own separate councils, but as allies, the two come together at least once a year and keep in communication throughout the year.
The Council, as the name suggest, consists of all the kings of the country, as well as their chosen advisors.
King: The ruler of the independent clans. Beyond serving on the Council, their main focus is their own clan, not the others. Each king may dictate his own laws, so long as they comply with Council law and code as well.
Queen: The king's wife. Does not have too much power politically, often privately advise the king, and so can in fact influence the running of things.
Prince: The king's son(s). The oldest of which is his heir, typically.
Princess: The king's daughters. Are often married off to princes or nobles of other clans to increase alliances.
1st Advisor: The king's right hand, more or less. The highest position of nobility, since they are considered the king's most trusted friend and council.
2nd Advisor: The second highest position of nobility. Someone the king also highly respects for their council.
Council of Nobles: The king's personal council, of which the 1st and 2nd Advisors lead. Each of these nobles have various titles, typically along the lines of "Chief of..." or "Advisor of...", shortened to Chief or Advisor. Occasionally, Jarls/Lords would also serve on this council.
Jarl/Lord: More or less like governors, these men/women(there are in fact women Jarls in Nian society, ever now and then) are powerful nobles who own and govern over lands within the clan, but still have to swear loyalty to their king. They make sure the king and the Council's laws are followed, but beyond that, are fairly free to run their lands as they see fit. They typically have a capital city, with other villages and settlements under their rule. Jarls don't really have heirs, but rather can chose to leave their lands to whomever their wish to be the next Jarl. Jarls also have their own council of appointed nobles(low positions of nobility, often untitled positions).
Some Jarls are instead called Lords, depending on the clan, but it is considered to be a Capareon influence, so most don't prefer this title.
Upper Class: The wealthy or those of noble class, but without an official title.
Warrior Class: Warriors are highly respected in Nian society, so their place is considered one above the Middle Class, but one below the Upper Class.
Middle Class: Those not quite Upper Class, and not warriors. Typically merchants, or others who are well off.
Commoners: The lowest class, typically laborers, farmers, fishermen, so on and so on.
Religious: More just a Northern Niana thing, these men/women aren't actually placed among the rest of the classes, for in ways, they could be said to be higher than a king, and yet more poor than a commoner. Monks, priest/priestesses, etc.

Capareon Society
Capareon society is has mixed influence. The country is led by an imperial monarchy, and in the old days, separate states within the mainland country were led by minor kings, but in the modern day, these minor kings were replaced with governors. Minor kings still exist in the modern era of Capareon, but only in the empire's territories abroad. Military class and rank were also rather important before roughly the 1800's of the 8th Age, due to the Roman heritage and slight influence, and also the influence of the Wolflord Nations and the Brotherhood. There are also titles of nobility and royalty. A senate of nobles and royals exists, and their power is just under the emperor.
Royal/Government Class
Emperor: Ruler of the Capareon Imperial Empire, and all its territories. The title and position is meant to be inheriated, but few families have actually held onto the title for more than a few generations, as the senate can in fact oppose and replace an Emperor if they choose to. Head of military operations and decisions.
(As of SSC, the Emperor is a descendant of the first Emperor of Capareon.)
Imperial Family: The immediate family of the Emperor. The Emperor's spouse is titled as Queen, or King if the Emperor happens to be a woman. Sons are Princes, though often hold other formal titles as well. Daughters are Princesses. The Queen-Mother is the Emperor's mother.
Senators: Royals and nobles of varying ranks and titles, these men(and woman) are both the Emperor's advisors, and their peers as far as control in the government. Imperial laws and regulations are scrutinized by the senate before they are passed onto the Emperor for him to sign or to throw out, however, if enough of the senate vote for the law/regulation to be passed anyway, it will veto the Emperor's opinion.
Minor King/Governor: The leader of a Capareon state/region. In charge of passing regional laws and regulations.
Lord/Lady: A high title of nobility, given to one who owns a large amount of land and has a high amount of respect, power, and/or wealth. Often support the local king/governor if they don't serve as a senator. Title is inherited, though an Emperor can grant or remove it.
Viscount/ess: A mid level title of nobility. Usually own a large estate, and have close ties to the senate, if they themselves do not serve on it. Inherited title.
Baron: Low level title of nobility. A title earned through wealth, rather than inherited.
Military Class
General: The highest military rank, they answer only to the Emperor.
