Mi-Pari Rain Forest
The rain forests of the island that give its name might seem like an alien planet to those from Earth, or even from other parts of Terra Fera. It is a land mostly ruled by Fae and dragons, but even more so by plants. It is crowded with predatory plants, some large enough to prey upon even relatively smaller mammals. Other plants are deadly in other ways, having toxins and poisons, or sharp spines, and many other forms of defense. The plants of Mi-Pari have very much controlled the evolution and lives of its fauna.
A small herbivore, the Jungle Antelope, standing about .7 meters tall, is a fruit eating herd animal. Living in small family herds of a few related females and their young, and then once a year during their breeding season, coming together in larger herds to breed and give birth. These Jungle Antelope are common across the jungles of the island, and are a primary source of food for many of the island's predators, and namely a native race of Fae, the Telia, who some clans have gone as far as to herd and somewhat domesticate these antelope. These little antelope help the fruit trees by eating the seed filled fruits, and then spreading the seeds. Both the tree and the antelope are dependent on each other, and with the antelope being a major food source for many of the islands predators, it makes both very important to the island's environment.
One interesting creature of Mi-Pari is the drakentaimian, which has three types, the standard, largest and plant eating type, a smaller version of the plant eater, with more bony spikes on its back, and the third, which is oddly a carnivore and has quill-like spikes, giving it its name, the Quilled
