True and False Dragons, What's the Difference?
In Terra Fera, there are two very general types of dragon families, Eudraco and Pseudodraco, or "true" and "false" dragons. In simple, false dragons are really mammals, a genus of the the dog-like family of animals. True dragons are reptilian, almost dinosaur like animals. Members of both groups are well known to science in TF, and it has been a fact of life that they exist for thousands and tens of thousands of years on TF.
False dragons consists of only two species, the Forest Drake and the Tundra Drake.
True dragons are split into several sub groups, the Great Dragons(massive, now extinct, only known in fossils to science), Wyverns(wild, aggressive, somewhat smaller cousins of the Great Dragons), and the Draken, called Lesser Dragons or Drakes(smaller, or at least usually, normally non winged cousins of the Great Dragons). Some also divide all three of these into further categories of Water, Fire, and Ground dragons, Water being aquatic or semi-aquatic, Fire being the fire "breathers" and flying dragons, and Ground being the land bound dragons. This is considered the informal organization of the species, where as the categorizing of Great Dragons, Wyverns, and Drakes is considered the proper, scientific way.
All Eudraco are warm blooded, like mammals and birds.
Scientifically, Eudraco is actually a family, so the above image saying Eudraco cicuro is actually wrong for the species name. The genus that species belongs to is called Dracaterra, or the earth dragons. Here's a list of most of the other genus and species. They are part of the sub order called Dracoformia, which pretty much just consists of Eudraco and other, smaller dragon like families.

Dracaterra (Ground Dragons)
More to be added as I come up with them!
