Men, the Conquerors and Architects
Nature agreed to create Wolf, and so she created the four, as brothers, but something was missing. She told this to Time, and asked him to create a fifth being. He returned to her, in a very strange form, his head hanging low, and shame filling his eyes.
"What is wrong?" Nature asked him.
"I beg you, my friend, do not create this one," he replied. "This one, Man, will only bring destruction, war, and darkness to your world. No good can come from them." Man was far different from the others. Man was cunning, intelligent, and greedy, but that was only what Time saw in them. Nature saw more.
"Where you see evil, my friend, I see good," Nature told him. "This one will have the free will to choose their own path, and will be guided along no matter which path that is."
~From the legends of the Ancient Religion, about the creation of mankind.
Mankind, as in normal human beings, are likely not native to Terra Fera. They came to TF tens of thousands of years ago, and found it a wild, untamable land. How they came here, is a bit of a mystery, and all any of them knew was there was no returning home. When a group of Romans found themselves lost here, they gave it its name, Terra Fera, Fierce Earth. Most, if not all, of TF's humans are of some sort of European origin, a lot of them Celtic, Roman, and Norse. There are three distinct races, named for the countries they originate from(on TF).
Capareons
Natives of Capareon, they are of namely Celtic and Roman descent, with a mix influence of Roman culture, some Celtic, and the ancient Wolflord societies that existed before man on TF. They are very much a cosmopolitanism culture, a product of the near complete tolerance they have for all beliefs and all people. Also a product of their imperialistic advances, claiming and conquering many lands across TF. The Capareon Empire has possibly the largest number of territories, but many are unexplored and lack settlements. In the race for new scientific advances and technology, no one strives more and succeeded faster than Capareons.
The name Capareon comes from the Ancient Tongue word for "central". Capareon's capitol city is called Cariponi, the original Ancient Tongue word.
Nians
Descendants of viking warriors, Nians hail from Northern and Southern Niana(formerly just Niana). They have had pretty much the same system of government since they first gave their country a name. The country is decided into clans, each clan with it's own province and it's own king. The Council of Kings lords over the country as a whole, but each king is responsible for governing his own clan. Jarls or Lords are powerful nobles who own land, and often rule over a city or large town, and they are responsible for the people who reside on their land and in their town/city. These Jarls/Lords sometimes serve on the Council of Kings as supporters for their king as well. A Jarl, in modern times, he is more like a mayor or governor.
Their religion is mostly that of the Ancient Religion of TF, but also a bit of Norse mythology mixed in. It's one of the few, if not the only, country in modern times that has a large population of this religion or beliefs like it.
Niana means "wood", specifically referring to lumber. Niana was well known as a great source of lumber.
Talleons
Talleons come from Tallez, and are almost strictly of Irish and Scottish descent. The word, Tallez comes from words in the Ancient Tongue meaning "people (of the) plains". Tallez is a namely flat country, very fertile, with marshes along the coast. The people of Tallez are very proud and stubborn as a whole, in fact this likely the only reason it is not part of the Capareon Empire. Though fewer in numbers, the Talleon armies proved too brutal and intimidating of fighters, and the Capareon Emperor decided it was a waste of time and good men and resources, and removed any claim Capareon had on Tallez.
Tallez is a namely Christian country, but other religions and beliefs are considered welcome, and the country is rather tolerant as a whole. It's a land fairly free of unwarranted prosecution and prejudice, but also relatively lawless.
